Oficina Técnica de Estudios y Control de Obras, S. A. is a Spanish engineering and consultancy company that was set up in 1971.
Since its creation, we have developed completely independent, high-quality services in our fields of expertise. In 2008, we joined the ACS Group, to which we still belong.
We are always looking ahead, and we know that our future depends on our professionalism, the quality of our service and our skilled staff.
Oficina Técnica de Estudios y Control de Obras, S. A. (OFITECO) was set up by young engineers who were concerned about the safety and the environmental impact of big civil works like dams, bridges, tunnels, etc. Regarding dams, we not only are concerned about their structural safety, but also their hydraulic and management safety.
Our field of expertise has gradually broadened with new knowledge until we have become what we currently are: OFITECO, a specialized company that applies new technologies in several fields and offers quality services.
Excellence, which is represented by the tuning fork in our logo, is our ultimate aim. This search for perfection, a value which can never be achieved but must always be pursued, has enabled us to provide society with a valuable service.
We are proud of our work, which is performed by a qualified, responsible and enthusiastic staff. And we know that our clients, most of whom have been with us since the beginning, trust our company. Our clients and our employees are our best asset.
We currently invest from 5% to 10% of our annual sales in R&D. This investment has enabled us to develop hydraulic, hydrological and environmental methods, products, services and high technology working tools in collaboration with research institutes and technical colleges.

OFITECO undertakes the full range of civil engineering activities for large and small scale projects, employing the best human, technical and financial resources to ensure the best quality and cost effective solution for its clients.
Since it was established in 1971, OFITECO has gained experience in Spain and abroad in its three main business areas: Water and Environment, Instrumentation and Systems, and Infrastructures.
Water and Environment:
control and follow-up, environmental studies, wetlands demarcation and management, flood forecasting and warning systems, water resources management and remote control networks, dams and reservoirs safety management, dams surveillance and monitoring, and hydraulic infrastructures operation and maintenance.
We are a company specialized in the design, supply and implementation of instrumentation and remote control systems for civil works monitoring, hydrological networks control, meteorological observation, and seismic control, emergency and population warning systems set-up. We also have the appropriate means to provide the technical assistance services required for these facilities maintenance and remote management.
